Hyderabad, August 2025: CARE Hospitals, Nampally, today organized a Bone & Joint Awareness Program to highlight the importance of bone health, early diagnosis, and preventive care for joint-related conditions. The event was graced by Chief Guest Shri Mohammed Azharuddin, former Indian Cricket Captain, along with Dr. Shashikant Aggsare, HCOO; Senior Orthopedic Surgeons Dr. (Lt Col.) Prabhakar – Clinical Director & Head, Department of Orthopaedics; Dr. Shiva Kumar – Senior OrthopedicSurgeon; Dr. Madhu Gaddam – Senior Orthopedic Surgeonand Dr. Aman Salwan, Sr. Consultant and Interventional Cardiologist. The program also saw the presence of Dr.Ashish Mathur, Medical Superintendent; Mr. Santosh Shukla, Head – Business Development; senior doctors from various specialties, patients, and hospital staff.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Mohammed Azharuddinsaid, “As a sportsperson, I have experienced firsthand the importance of strong bones and healthy joints. Awareness and timely medical intervention can make a huge difference, whether for athletes or the common man. I’m glad CARE Hospitals is taking the initiative to educate people about bone health.”
The program featured interactive discussions, health tips, and live demonstrations on maintaining bone strength, preventing injuries, and recognizing early signs of joint problems.
Highlighting the medical perspective, Dr. Col. Prabhakar stressed the importance of early care and lifestyle modifications. “We are seeing an increasing number of patients with joint problems, often due to sedentary lifestyles, injuries, or aging. The good news is that advancements in orthopedic surgery and rehabilitation can restore mobility and improve quality of life if patients seek care early,” they noted.
