AI and Robotics: Pioneering India’s Technological Future – A Vision from Vivek Dilip, CEO of MiBOT Ventures

India is undergoing a rapid transformation in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and robotics, driven by innovation, investment, and government support. As industries across the country adopt intelligent automation, AI-driven robotics is redefining productivity, safety, and efficiency across sectors. Spearheading this revolution is MiBOT Ventures, a Chennai-based startup led by CEO Vivek Dilip, which is developing cutting-edge solutions aligned with India’s vision of becoming a global technology powerhouse.

Government initiatives such as the IndiaAI Mission and the Centre of Excellence in AI for Education—announced with a ₹500 crore allocation in the Union Budget 2025–26—are creating a vibrant ecosystem for startups and innovators. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has consistently emphasized India’s potential to lead in tech innovation, calling the nation “one of the most tech-friendly populations in the world.”

The term “robot” may have originated from a 1920 play, but today, robotics has evolved into an essential tool powered by AI. This convergence enables machines to think, learn, and operate autonomously. AI-enabled robots are now widely used in manufacturing, agriculture, healthcare, hospitality, logistics, surveillance, aerospace, and smart homes—drastically improving accuracy, flexibility, and cost-efficiency.

According to Spherical Insights and Consulting, the global robotics market is set to grow from $25.82 billion in 2022 to $115.88 billion by 2032. With nearly 3 million industrial robots already deployed worldwide and 400,000 new units added annually, India’s potential in this sector is immense.

Vivek Dilip of MiBOT Ventures believes AI and robotics should augment human potential, not replace it. “Our goal is to build smarter tools that empower people and organizations,” he says. MiBOT’s innovations are helping businesses automate complex tasks and scale operations while keeping humans at the center of progress.

As AI and robotics continue to merge into India’s industrial and educational fabric, companies like MiBOT Ventures are leading the charge—ensuring India not only catches up with global leaders but becomes one itself.
